                                  SPRUCE CONES:
 
Spruce cones are believed by some native elders to possess the best medicine of the Spruce tree. Gently decoct as a tea to relieve colds, and soothe sore throats. It is said that some elders from indigenous tribes keep a jar of Spruce Cone tea in the fridge, drinking 1/4 - 1 cup a day to maintain good health.

HARVEST: Harvest cones all year from the tops of young trees.
 
ENJOY: Gently simmer 5-15 cones in water (add spruce twigs and needles also). Cover to ensure essential oils remain in medicine. The longer they simmer, the stronger the medicine.
Strain.
Drink 4 oz, 3-4 times a day, for 5 days.
